GBAAM's faculty is built around Dr Souphi Samizadeh's training standard, then extended through visiting clinicians who teach only within their own clinical scope.

03 How we choose faculty

Three rules.
No exceptions.

The academy's faculty is small by design. We have turned down more invitations to join than we have accepted.

  1. i.

    Every faculty member must currently practise

    We do not invite emeritus speakers. The frontier of any technique is in the hands of the people doing it weekly.

  2. ii.

    They teach in their own clinical scope

    Each faculty member's lessons are restricted to their own area, even when that means smaller workshops.

  3. iii.

    They publish, or teach from people who do

    We do not permit received wisdom content. Lessons reference primary sources and stay close to the evidence.

Faculty applications open by invitation.

The academy occasionally invites guest faculty for specific workshops or symposium sessions. If you would like to be considered for a future cohort, write to the dean.

Every applicant is reviewed before joining an in-person workshop. We accept doctors and dentists with a current licence to practise.
