Postgraduate · CPD-accredited · London
Two pathways under one academy. CPD-accredited online courses in foundational science, ethics and consultation. Ultrasound-guided in-person workshops in toxins, fillers, threads and regenerative medicine — taught at our London training centre by a faculty drawn from seven countries.
02 A note from the founder
"Aesthetic medicine deserves the same intellectual rigour as any other clinical discipline. The Academy is built on that conviction."
Dr Souphi Samizadeh founded GBAAM in 2015 to formalise the postgraduate training pathway she could not find as a young clinician. A decade on, the Academy holds its scientific symposium at the Royal Society of Medicine, has trained more than six thousand doctors across two hundred and fifty hospitals, and remains the smallest faculty in aesthetic medicine that we know of — a deliberate choice.
03 Our standard of care
Every workshop in the injectable curriculum — toxins, fillers, threads, regenerative — is taught with high-resolution ultrasound at the bench. Not as a specialism. Not as an add-on. As the floor.
The reason is clinical, not aspirational: ultrasound visualisation reduces vascular complications, improves placement accuracy, and produces practitioners who can read the face they are treating, rather than working from surface anatomy alone.
04 The curriculum
Foundations are taken online — the science a clinician needs before a needle is loaded. Workshops are taken in London, in small cohorts, with faculty over the shoulder. Most candidates take both.
Self-paced CPD-accredited foundations in the science, ethics, and consultation skills behind safe aesthetic practice.
Small-cohort in-person workshops in London, taught with faculty over the shoulder and ultrasound-guided safety at the centre.
05 The faculty
Plastic surgery, dermatology, neurology, maxillofacial.
A deliberately small faculty. Each member teaches in their own
clinical area. All of them practise.
